Screw Piles, It’s Easily Installed in the Rain

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to anyone who is trying to get a construction project off the ground is delays. Delays are the bane of any project, taking place whenever rain or other inclement weather strikes.

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to anyone who is trying to get a construction project off the ground is delays. Delays are the bane of any project, taking place whenever rain or other inclement weather strikes. Some projects totally miss their deadlines, simply because the weather doesn’t cooperate with the contractors or the project owner.

Postech Screw Piles are an exception to this rule. They can actually be installed just as effectively in the rain as they can on a cloud-free day. The unique installation procedure used by Postech generally doesn’t require any excavation, like other foundation and anchor methods. Therefore, there are no holes in the ground to fill with water, and no risk of the sides of excavations collapsing when wet.

If anything, the rain makes the process of starting the Postech Screw Pile into the ground easier, although once into the ground a couple of inches, this advantage goes away. The Postech Screw Pile is literally screwed into the ground, just as a screw is driven into a piece of wood. Inclement weather, unless it is serious enough to prevent visibility, isn’t even a factor.

RAIN DOESN’T AFFECT THE POSTECH SCREW PILE EITHER. THEY ARE MADE OF HEAVILY GALVANIZED STEEL, WHICH IS UNAFFECTED BY THE RAIN. THERE IS NO RISK OF CORROSION DUE TO WATER.

Other types of inclement weather don’t affect the installation from Postech either. High winds, cold, heat, and even snow are immaterial due to the design of the screw pile and the way it is installed. The installation equipment is unaffected by the weather as well. The only one who will suffer getting wet is the Postech Expert needed to run the equipment and install the screw pile!

With our condensed building season here in Canada, there’s little time for delays. Every day of delay puts the project one day closer to Old Man Winter coming back. No construction project can afford that, so anything that can be done to make it possible to work in the rain is well worth doing.

So, you see, with Postech Screw Piles, delays caused by rain are a thing of the past. While they can’t help you get your carpenters going on the framing, they can make sure that when the sun comes out again, the foundation will be ready and waiting for the carpenters to get to work.
