Fixed heads

Fixed heads transmit forces applied to the piles, whether lateral, compressive, or tensile. They consist of a flat plate that connects to the structure on top, and a tube that is bolted to the installed pile supporting the structure from below. Postech fixed heads can connect directly to wood, concrete, or steel structures.

Create storage for your garden tools – or a cozy summer house where you can get away from it all. Build your shed or garden house on a Postech Screw Piles foundation. It’s quick, easy & guaranteed to last a lifetime!

Fixed Heads

Fixed U support heads

Does not require a pre-cut slot in the column or timber its connecting to. Instead, head is assembled to wooden structures with bolts that pass edge-to-edge through wood beams to make full use of their structural capacity.

What types of structures can you connect Postech fixed heads to?

Wood structures

You can connect Postech fixed heads directly to wood structures using bolts, lag screws, or any other appropriate structural fastener.

Steel structures

You can connect Postech fixed heads directly to steel structures with either bolts or welding, depending on the project.

Concrete structures

You can connect Postech fixed heads to concrete structures. Our standard concrete heads can anchor with sufficient concrete coverage; rebar rods can be welded to the head on-site to facilitate the connection with the concrete reinforcement. Our technical team can also build custom anchoring heads to accommodate specific loads.
