Technical Sheets - Screw Piles

Postech Screw Piles® combine galvanized steel and high-efficiency insulation to deliver helical piles of unbeatable resistance to corrosion and movement. See why Postetch’s helical piles are the preferred choice of engineers, architects, and builders.

Screw piles are designed to act both as load support and ground anchorage. But not all are equally solid or durable – or equally good at supporting compressive, tensile, and lateral forces. Postech Screw Piles are engineered and manufactured to offer outstanding strength and durability. Simply put, they can guarantee the lifelong stability of any foundation project, whether it’s residential, commercial, or industrial.

01

Year-round stability

Thanks to their internal insulation, Postech Thermal Screw Piles will not shift during the annual freeze-thaw cycle. You’ll never have to worry about your foundation being lifted by the soil. Whatever your local weather conditions, your foundation will be stable year-round.

02

All-climate stability

Postech’s Thermal Screw Pile technology insulates the inside of the pile. This exclusive design prevents frost and ice from forming at the base of the pile for unbeatable stability even in the harshest winter conditions.

03

Lifelong stability

Since 2007, our innovative Thermal Screw Pile technology has combined galvanized steel with high-efficiency insulation in a single product with no moving components. This makes Postech screw piles stronger, more stable, and more durable than other screw piles on the market. Our warranty has you covered.

Superior resistance
to corrosion

Postech Screw Piles are made of hollow structural steel (HSS) and hot-dip galvanized. This gives them long-lasting protection against corrosion – essential in construction and foundation engineering.

During the galvanization process, the steel is immersed in molten zinc to form a protective layer that fuses with the steel. This gives the steel excellent abrasion resistance while also creating a long-lasting barrier against moisture, oxygen, and other corrosive elements. Hot-dip galvanizing is a cost-effective solution that offers long-term protection without the need for maintenance or periodic repairs.

Where can Postech Screw Piles be installed?

Granular and cohesive soils (sand and clay)

Screw piles are ideal for soils such as sand or clay. The size of the pile’s helix is chosen based on the soil’s bearing capacity and the load the piles need to support. If the project requires the pile to be installed deep in the soil, extensions can be added to the pile.

Water

Because Postech screw piles are hot-dip galvanized, they are ideal for projects in wet environments, such as docks and walkways. If one day you no longer need the piles, they can be easily removed and even reused in another project.

Rock

Some soil has exposed or shallow rock. In these situations, Postech uses rock anchors to attach the screw piles directly to the rocky surface. Rock anchors can be mechanical or chemical; a smart solution when the rock prevents piles from being screwed into place in a given spot.
