Commercial Project
Utilizing helical piles for pond decks ensures a stable and environmentally friendly foundation, even in challenging underwater environments.
In the spring of 2021, we tackled an innovative project for the Rotary Club by constructing a pond deck on helical piles submerged underwater. This approach not only provided stability but also minimized environmental impact.
Our team from Postech Screw Piles Austin installed the foundation using 22 helical piles with 18-inch blades. Despite the challenges posed by the aquatic environment and the need to meet strict environmental standards, the project was completed within just a few days.
The installation required precise planning to position the piles both near and into the water effectively. One significant hurdle was transporting beams out to the helical piles without disturbing the surrounding land. Thanks to our team’s creativity and resilience, including working with water-filled boots, the installation was a success.
When working with saturated soil, it’s crucial to extend the helical pile deeper to ensure stability. We utilized specialized attachments to achieve the desired depth, ensuring minimal ecological impact and maintaining land integrity.
Partnering with Postech Screw Piles means securing a foundation that is not only fast and clean to install but also durable enough to last for years.
